The Market Notice Board

A weathered board for matters that need public eyes.

The notice board stands below the old quay wall at Market Square, near the Gilded Mooring. Dark planks sit beneath a low tiled roof. Pinholes, wax, and pale marks from old notes cover the wood.

People pin requests, lost-property notes, and travel messages here. The market stallholders clear wet papers. Selvar Venn helps when rain turns a note to pulp.

  Le prochain chariot de vivres part demain matin pour le camp des bûcherons, dans les collines au nord-ouest. Les deux derniers chargements ont disparu avant l’arrivée. • CARGO EXCHANGE - URGENT

  Joran Pell’s wagon left yesterday with my crate, while his crate now sits in my harbor store. The wagon moves slowly and has only one day’s lead, but the road beyond town has dangers. Catch the wagon, exchange the crates, and bring mine back before I sail at week’s end. Ask for Sera Morn at the east quay.

• WORK BELOW THE GILDED MOORING

  Large rats have damaged stores in the tavern cellars. The cellars cut into the hillside, and rats have torn through old boards at the rear cave. Selvar Venn needs people to clear the rats and check the passage beyond those boards. Ask him at the bar.
