Port of Asgoth / Locations
Stillwater
A village over the river, with forest on both banks.
Stillwater stands upstream from Port of Asgoth, where the river broadens and its current slows. Timber houses rise on piles above the water. Wooden walkways join homes, shared platforms, and landing stages, while boats tie beneath the floors. Forest crowds both banks.
The forest grows dangerous after dark. Water separates the houses from whatever moves among the trees at night. Villagers return before sunset and draw up the shore gangways. Late visitors must approach by boat and call from the landing stage.
Fishers work the slow channels, and river boats carry timber and provisions to the harbor. Residents speak Elvish among themselves and Common with traders. Travelers stop for supplies and news from farther upstream. At the harbor, the Brass Bell hears reports from fishers who travel this route.
