The Goblin Hideout

The goblin hideout lies farther into the wooded hills toward the mountains, beyond the logging camp. It includes a large camp and a separate, smaller cave along the woodland approach.

The cave

The remains of one goblin and four giant rats lie in the cave. The temple’s silver moon idol and the map to the larger camp no longer lie here.

The camp

A wooden palisade surrounds the camp among the hills. Tents and fires fill the uneven ground. The hills and crowded tents make it hard to see far across the camp. Many goblins remain inside.

A rough watchtower overlooks the approach. Its sentry lies dead. A stream passes through a gap in the palisade. Goblins can remove a crude section of the wall to open the gate. Beside a group of tents, the bodies of four goblins lie near cooking fires.

Inside the wall, a stable holds donkeys, chests, and saddlebags. Beyond it stands the shaman’s tent, with symbols and drawings on its walls. The bodies of three bugbear guards lie in and around the tent. A green magical fire burns there.

A raid report addressed to Big Boss Grognak describes attacks on traders bound for Ascot and on local workers. It lists stolen food, tools, clothes, valuables, and horses.
