The Coastal Swamp

The swamp lies close southeast of Port of Ascot, just inland from the coast. Near the sea, salt water mixes with fresh water to form brackish pools. Farther inland, the swamp contains fresh water.

Dense, dark woodland surrounds the quiet swamp. Animal remains lie in the water. A burned tree has bark shaped like faces twisted in pain, with roots like reaching limbs. The remains of the druids’ funeral pyre lie nearby.
